This is such a beautiful tribute to Angelo. The detail about him sleeping in the crook of your arm really captures how much he meant to you cause those small rituals become the things we miss most. I've known people who lost pets during Covid and not being able to say goodbye properly adds another layer of greif. The fact that he lived to 20 shows how well you cared for him.
Angelo was lucky to have you for his human. This is a great tribute to him. I lost my buddy Toby 14 months ago - he was 19 years and 11 months, and I found him as a feral kitten chasing birds on my yard. This brought back warm memories of him, so thanks Barb!
What a lovely remembrance post, Barb! Angelo sounds like a very nice cat and he's lucky to have found such loving family. It made me think of all of our pet cats we lost along the way. The have so little time, and yet they gave us too much of themselves. Pets are such a blessing.
